Laser
High-Intensity Laser Therapy (HILT) is a painless treatment method that uses deep penetrating light to stimulate connective tissue repair, including bone, skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments and nerves. It also helps to decrease pain.
Coach Amy uses a high-powered class IV laser with more powerful beams (power >500 mW) to penetrate deeper. The elevated energy level reaches deep tissues more quickly.
High-intensity laser therapy promotes the repair of injured tissues and decreases pain and inflammation. It is a treatment, not a cure, and it is supplemental to other physical therapy methods such as manual treatment, dry needling and movement training.
How does this help?
“Coach Amy is beyond invaluable to me. She respects my choice to refuse spinal fusion for spondylosis. Her customized plan of dry-needling, high-intensity laser and cupping therapies got me moving again and keep me participating in life.”
