Movement Training
Movement training is the foundation of physical therapy. Coach Amy's movement training therapy begins with a thorough assessment of stability, mobility, and proprioception (balance/agility) specific to the impact on your activities.
Once she identifies the cause of your injuries, she creates a custom treatment plan that may include therapeutic exercises. Movement training often incorporates manual therapy—movement assisted by the manipulation of joints and soft tissues.
The underlying cause of injury and poor performance is almost always rooted in faulty movement patterns—the habitual ways you move your body that can create pain and injury over time. Movement training is key to pain-free function, injury prevention, and performance enhancement.
