Coach Amy at the finish of IM Ohio 70.3.

WHY AMY?

Amy graduated with a Masters of Science in physical therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center and is certified in Active Release Therapy (ART), Integrative Dry Needling (NDN) and Applied Functional Science (AFS). She is also a certified running coach recently interviewed by Runner’s World Magazine.

Amy focuses on prevention and treatment of injury in endurance sports because she knows first hand the frustration and heartbreak of needing to take a break from a beloved sport due to injury.

With the help of physical therapy and ART, Amy has bounced back from a host of running injuries to set personal records and age division places in half marathons and recently completed her first trail marathon and 70.3 half Ironman.

She has run many marathons including Boston, NYC, Chicago and Silver Falls trail marathons.

Amy is also owner and coach of Roadrunners of Kansas City (a local running club), participates in running-related science research at local universities and speaks at local running clubs, schools and corporations. She also coaches runners world wide through the Garmin Coach adaptable training program.

Outside of the world of endurance sports, Amy is a mom of three who, much to her chagrin, will not run!
